When two Worlds Collide

As we pulled into a small country town yesterday I couldn’t help but to think how vast and different the people of this towns life are, to the one I just left behind in Avalon. I got up in the morning and put on my new blue Maurie and Eve tshirt and my old shabby but still designer Sass and Bide jeans. There was no sign of any clothing store that resembled any clothing store in Avalon. I am no snob don’t get me wrong. I have spent the past 15 years in the world of fashion and looking good. I am a Hair and Makeup artist, I have worked with many fashion designers and celebrities who always look and appear perfect. It is almost a breath of fresh air to walk into a town where everyone doesnt look perfect but still look perfectly happy.

Thought two, where do the people of this town order takeaway after a busy day when they just don’t want to cook. Cafes, where are the amazing cafes that specialise in organic delights. I suppose when I think about it their life is one big organic delight, straight from the garden to their dinner plate.

Thats when I spotted a young mother, just like me ( If I’m classified as young any more I dont know) her two boys in tow. As I described, not too well dressed but taking such care of her little family, the two boys running up the street with out a care in the world. Nobody trying to stop their unruly childish behaviour, they were allowd to be kids with out any judgment. A sight too beautiful for words. Thats where our two lives collide. Two mums, from two totally different lives,  in the same town both having fun with their families.

Its so funny when those things happen…two words going together like that! I would be the one that is not well dressed, and the one with kids running free :)

Love how that happens in life…..when there is two different aspect to one world! At the end of the day, all that matters is happiness!

    Cheers
    Lisa
